I got a kebab wrap..

Q:

I had a kebab wrap, and the waiter who made it filled a bottle of hummus sauce with tap water and added more
It's easy to imagine that the hummus will accumulate at the bottom and become more viscous towards the end, but since only solid matter accumulates and the concentration of the liquid seasoning shouldn't change much from the beginning to the end, it seems a bit too simplistic to think that diluting it with tap water will return it to its original concentration
If you add tap water, the concentration of the solids will return to normal, but I think the seasoning will only become more diluted
As expected, the sauce was watery and the meat was very strongly seasoned...I was very disappointed as the kebab wraps I had yesterday and the day before were very delicious

For those who prepare it, it may be one meal out of hundreds or even thousands, but for those who receive it, it is a precious treat between classes, and having that one meal to look forward to gives them the motivation to work hard again
I understand that you are very busy, but could you please do something basic like shaking the bottle properly each time you use it to prevent solids from settling at the bottom? I apologize for the trouble

A:

Thank you for your feedback regarding the hummus and we apologize for any inconvenience caused
Regarding hummus, to make hummus sauce, the instructions say to mix hummus base and water in the specified ratio. After checking, we learned that, as you pointed out, it had solidified, so water was added. Although it is specified to be mixed with the specified water, adding more water will result in a thin hummus sauce, so we confirmed that in that case, new hummus sauce should be used
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed eating at the cafeteria. All of our staff will do our best to live up to your expectations. We hope you will use the Central Cafeteria again

The taco rice was so delicious..

Q:

The limited-time taco rice was so delicious that I would love for it to become a regular menu item

A:

Thank you for your feedback on the menu
As for taco rice, it is an ingredient that can only be used for a limited time, so if there is any stock left, I would like to offer it somewhere again
Taco rice is a regular menu item at our events every summer, so we hope you'll look forward to it again next year

Hokke is delicious..

Q:

I'm happy to see more fish other than mackerel!
Hoki is delicious!

A:

At the Central Dining Hall, we mainly serve grilled salted Atka mackerel in the hot case, and about once a month we also serve grilled salted mackerel. We also have a set meal corner on weekdays from 11am to 2pm where we offer a variety of fish dishes that change daily, so we hope you will enjoy them as well

The bean sprouts in the Bang Bang Chicken Tofu were more raw than usual..

Q:

On June 9th, the bean sprouts in the Bang Bang Chicken Tofu seemed to be rawer than usual. Could you please tell me the standard for cooking them? Also, if there was a problem only on that day, please take measures

A:

Regarding your complaint that the bean sprouts in the Bang Bang Chicken Tofu were almost raw, after receiving your complaint we checked with the staff in charge and found that the cause was that the tofu had been steamed for a shorter time than the prescribed time
We have trained the staff in charge and other related staff to ensure that steam cooking is carried out within the specified time
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused on June 9th. Going forward, we will continue to educate our staff on customer service and provide training so that all our members can enjoy their meals in comfort

The Aosa Negitoro Rice Bowl is so delicious..

Q:

The Aosa Negitoro Rice Bowl was so delicious that I ended up ordering it every day
I usually go home immediately after class, but I stayed at the university until late just to have the Aosa Negitoro Donburi, and even had dinner at the cafeteria
The sea scent of the aosa gently binds together the grated yam, tuna, and chopped nori seaweed, creating a unity and deep flavor that sets it apart from the usual yam-topped negitoro donburi. It was shockingly delicious
I'm sad that the campaign is ending. I look forward to it being resurrected

A:

Thank you for your feedback on the Aosa Negitoro Donburi! We use Aosa harvested in Fukushima, which is only harvested seasonally. If there is stock in Fukushima, we will consider offering it! We are considering continuing to offer the Aosa menu, so we hope you will enjoy our other dishes as well

Calbee's Consommé Punch potato chips are not available..

Q:

When I went to the store today, Calbee's Consomme Punch potato chips were not available. Calbee's Lightly Salted and Chip Star were available, but not having Consomme Punch is a significant missed opportunity

https://ranking.net/rankings/best-potatochips
According to the results of these two surveys, all of the most popular flavors are Calbee's, with Consomme Punch coming in as the most popular in the latter survey
I would like to take this opportunity to suggest that you increase sales of Calbee potato chips rather than Chip Star. If it is simply a case of shortage, please adjust your purchase volume so that there will be no shortages in the future. I understand that there are various reasons for this, but I would appreciate your consideration

A:

Thank you for your valuable feedback

Calbee's Consomme Punch is also available in our store
It seems that the item was out of stock when you visited the store
I'm sorry

This product is only delivered once a month
There is a possibility that the product will be out of stock by the end of the month

We will make every effort to avoid shortages in the future
We hope you will continue to watch over us with kindness

Cheese Imo Mochi is not just for a limited time..

Q:

It was very delicious, but could you please add cheese potato mochi to the regular menu instead of just being a limited-time item?

A:

It will be difficult to add this to the regular menu immediately, but we will share the fact that there are many requests for it to become a regular item during the general menu discussion

Improving access to nutrition labels..

Q:

I'd like to see improved access to nutritional information. The nutritional information for each menu item is only posted at the entrance and pick-up area, and I can't find it online, so I have to take a photo of it. You can also view it in your usage history on the app, but it's difficult to read and a hassle. Could you please make the nutritional information for each menu item available on your website or Twitter?

A:

Nutritional values and allergen information available online are currently provided on the Gakushoku.coop website (link provided below). This is a site shared by all university co-ops, not just the University of Tokyo Co-op, so it does not include the original University of Tokyo Co-op menu, but we hope you will find it useful
Also, as this information has not been sufficiently publicized, we have taken your feedback into consideration and will be displaying posters at the entrances and exits of the cafeteria providing information about Gakushoku.Co-op

If you bring your own lunch..

Q:

If I don't buy anything at the cafeteria and just eat the lunch I brought with me, can I still use the cafeteria?

A:

In the dining hall, priority is generally given to those using the dining hall menu. In particular, during the busiest hours between 12 and 1pm, even those who have purchased a dining hall menu are asked to share the space, so we ask that those who only bring their own food or are not eating in refrain from using the space. If you would like, we would be grateful if you could purchase at least one dish in the dining hall. (The cheapest menu item is miso soup (priced at 44 yen)

Additionally, from mid-May, the hall on the second floor of the cafeteria will be open to the public from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on weekdays after the cafeteria closes. Please feel free to use this area for eating and drinking, studying, chatting, etc

Can base money also be used to pay for the central cafeteria?

Q:

Can I use base money (not just cafeteria money) to pay at the central cafeteria?

A:

You can also use "Base Money" in the cafeteria. However, if you use "School Money," you will receive points based on the amount you spend. (1 point is added to Base Money for every 200 yen spent.) We recommend paying with "School Money" to receive the points you earn
