It would be great if they also offered large portions of the salmon bowl and other limited-time menu items, but I suppose that's unlikely...?

Thank you for trying the "Smooth Shrimp Tonkotsu Tea" at the Cafeteria Pass Appreciation Festival. This is a special event-only menu item that offers a different discount from the "Smooth Shrimp Tonkotsu Tea" we previously offered. Specifically, the concept of this event is that the item, which normally costs 666 yen, can be enjoyed for 500 yen when paying with the "Cafeteria Pass," which is 10% off for members plus an additional 100 yen off. Therefore, it is only available in one size at all University of Tokyo Co-op stores (Central Cafeteria, Komaba Cafeteria, Second Cafeteria, and Faculty of Agriculture Cafeteria). We
also receive requests for larger portions of other one-size menu items such as salmon donburi. The sizes of our regular donburi menus have different amounts of rice and toppings so that the ratio of each is roughly equal, and the price difference is 60 yen (excluding tax) between small and medium sizes, and 90 yen (excluding tax) between medium and large sizes. In the case of salmon donburi, increasing the size while maintaining the ratio of salmon to rice would result in a price difference of 90 yen or more. For menu items like the hamburger steak rice bowl, where it's difficult to increase the amount of toppings, offering a larger size is currently not feasible.
Furthermore, the co-op encourages customers to eat balanced meals themselves, so we hope that customers will combine side dishes, soups, and salad bar items with their meals, taking their budget into consideration.
