The volume ratio of rice to curry is about 2:1..

Q:

The other day, I ordered a large katsu curry, but the ratio of rice to curry was about 2:1, which was definitely unbalanced.
I don't know if they're struggling with rising prices, but I wish they would either reduce the amount of rice or increase the amount of curry.

Also, it's hot during meals, so I would like you to lower the air conditioning setting

A:

Regarding your feedback about the portion sizes of curry and rice, the recipe remains unchanged from before the pandemic, with 320g of rice to 190g of curry sauce, and this is standardized across the university co-op cafeteria. We will reconfirm that the central cafeteria is serving the food according to the recipe.
Regarding the air conditioning in the hall, it appears that some of the power supply components were worn out, preventing it from cooling sufficiently. We will begin work to replace the component on Monday, July 4th.

Beef cut steaks always sell out quickly..

Q:

The beef cut steak at the live kitchen corner always sells out so quickly, I wish they'd improve that.
I look forward to it, but I've never been able to eat it...
Also, I wish they'd improve the operation between 6 PM and 7 PM. There's a long line at the register, so why don't they increase the cashier staff...?

A:

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Regarding the live kitchen issue that we received previously, the corner is currently open from 11:00 to 14:00, and the planned number of meals is set based on recent sales performance. It is difficult to adjust while minimizing food waste, and some menu items are selling out before 14:00. Regarding the 18:
00-19:00 shift, the number of users after 17:00 has been increasing since May, and although we are recruiting staff, we are currently unable to fill the positions. We will continue to recruit staff. We also ask for your cooperation in using cashless payment for faster service.

The QR code is incorrect..

Q:

The QR code on the notice regarding the "One-Word Card" in the central cafeteria is incorrect.
This is likely because the URL has changed, but the notice hasn't been updated, resulting in the linked page no longer existing.

A:

Thank you for pointing that out.
We have promptly corrected it. Thank you.
If you notice anything else, please use this contact form. Thank you.

The live kitchen's opening hours are too short..

Q:

The live kitchen's operating hours are far too short.
Despite the request to stagger visits until 1:30 PM to reduce crowds, when I went at 1:40 PM, they had already finished selling. Even if full-day operation is difficult, they should at least continue operating until around 3 PM.

A:

Thank you for pointing this out. We also apologize for any inconvenience caused. Currently, our corner is open from 11:00 to 14:00, but yesterday we reached the planned number of meals at around 13:30 and had to close the corner. First, we will review the planned number of meals with the staff in charge so that we can continue to serve the menu until 14:00. Regarding extending our hours until 15:00, this will take some time as it will involve changes to our organization, but we will proceed with preparations for the extension. Thank you for your understanding

Buying and selling used books on campus..

Q:

At the recent general meeting, it was decided that we would start a secondhand goods business to trade in computers, but would it also be possible to buy and sell used books on campus? We believe that there is a great demand for specialized books on campus

A:

Thank you for using the Co-op. Regarding purchasing used books, we do not have the financial resources to develop a purchasing system like a secondhand bookstore, and it is difficult to train personnel with the skilled knowledge required for purchasing, as is the case at secondhand bookstores. Considering the recent trends in book sales, we are currently unable to immediately begin purchasing and selling used books. We will consider future possibilities within the Co-op based on your feedback

Inside the white cup..

Q:

There was a large amount of green stain on the inside of the white glass.
I took a sip without noticing and felt very sick.
I imagine you've received many complaints about the glass cleaning process, but do you have no intention of improving it?

A:

Regarding the washing of teacups, we previously received a similar complaint, and in response, we changed our operation to include bleaching twice a week in addition to regular washing. We have not received any similar complaints since then. We
will share this feedback with our staff again and re-examine our work operations and checks.

The tanmen was very tasty..

Q:

The tanmen at the noodle corner was delicious. Is there any possibility of it being brought back to other restaurants in the future?
*I would like to eat as many vegetables as possible at once.

Also, is it possible to order only stir-fried vegetables?
Raw vegetables are bulky, so I would appreciate it if you could prepare stir-fried vegetables instead.
By the way, I always enjoy the okra!

A:

Thank you again for your feedback.
Thank you for trying the "Tanmen" (noodle soup). We are very pleased with your kind words. Regarding the availability of "Tanmen" at the Second Cafeteria and the Faculty of Agriculture Cafeteria, it will continue to be offered at the Second Cafeteria, and at the Faculty of Agriculture Cafeteria, it has been offered on a rotating basis.
As for the "stir-fried vegetables," the Central Cafeteria will be offering "Pork and Vegetable Stir-fry with Savory Salt" at the cafeteria corner for one week only next week. Please give it a try. If we receive many requests after that, we will consider bringing it back on the menu.

It sold out just before..

Q:

At the live kitchen corner, after waiting in line for ages, we were told at the last minute that they were sold out.
If they're sold out, they should tell us sooner; it's such a waste of time. What was the point of waiting in line?

A:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our normal procedure is to inform customers of sold-out items and offer our apologies before they line up. We will confirm the facts with our staff and implement operational checks and training to prevent this from happening again. We are truly sorry.
If you have any further concerns, please use this inquiry form.

A summary of the live kitchen menu for the week..

Q:

I think the Central Dining Hall's live kitchen menu is tweeted at 9am on the day, but it would be even better if we could know in advance. For example, wouldn't it be possible for them to tweet the live kitchen menu for the week all at once on Monday morning?

A:

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Yesterday, we tweeted this week's live kitchen menu schedule on Twitter. We will tweet the same information again starting next Monday.
If you have any further comments or suggestions, please use this contact form. Thank you.

Change to low-carb noodles..

Q:

Would it be possible to consider switching from regular Chinese noodles to low-carb noodles?
I've been a customer for about 20 years, but
I was advised to reduce my carbohydrate intake during a health checkup. I
've recently started using the tanmen (vegetable noodle soup) again, but I'm wondering if there's any way to make this change.
While students are the main customers, faculty and staff members continue to use the restaurant even in their 60s.
Please consider this request.

A:

Regarding your request for "low-carb noodles," we do not currently carry any ingredients that the co-op can use, so we would need to select the ingredients ourselves. Furthermore, offering them as an option alongside regular noodles presents challenges, such as difficulty in distinguishing them at the register. Therefore, we are unable to fulfill your request immediately, and we apologize in advance for the time it will take.
We will inform our members once we have a clear timeframe for providing them.
