CO-OP Student Comprehensive Mutual Aid

This insurance provides 24/7 coverage for injuries and illnesses to students, regardless of whether they occur on or off campus, domestically or internationally.
Injuries caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis are also covered. Hospitalization due to mental illness is also covered.
(Eligibility is limited to students and graduate students of the University of Tokyo Co-op who are 34 years of age or younger on the effective date.)

Student liability insurance (no special clause for those living alone)

This insurance covers liability for damages to others in daily life and during practical training.
(Only students and graduate students who are members of the University of Tokyo Co-op are eligible to enroll.)

This insurance covers liability for damages to others during daily life and practical training, as well as damage to rented accommodation and damage or theft of household belongings.
(Only students and graduate students who are members of the University of Tokyo Co-op are eligible to enroll.)

School Expenses Insurance

This program provides financial support for tuition and other expenses in cases where a student is no longer financially supported due to the death or severe disability resulting from illness or injury of their guardian.
(Membership is limited to students and graduate students who are members of the University of Tokyo Co-op.)

We provide 24/7 support, including consultations, referrals to relevant organizations, and on-site assistance for various student concerns and problems.
Whether you live alone, commute from home, or are with family, you can use this service with peace of mind.

How to join/apply for benefits

How to join

Please complete the procedure at the university cooperative office on campus (Komaba: Komaba Office; Hongo: Member Center).
*Only students, graduate students, and international students who are members of the University of Tokyo Cooperative can join.
*Only cash payments are accepted. Please check the required amount in advance.
*If it is difficult for you to visit, please call the Hongo: Member Center. We will guide you through the necessary procedures and documents.

How to claim mutual aid benefits

Please visit the Co-op office on campus (Komaba: Komaba Administrative Office, Hongo: Member Center) or contact the Co-op Mutual Aid Center (0120-16-9431).
