Harassment prevention policy and consultation service
1. Basic Policy on Customer Harassment
Customer Harassment Basic Policy
The University of Tokyo Consumers' Cooperative is guided by four core principles: cooperation, collaboration, independence, and participation. Our mission is to contribute to our members, our officers and employees, and all stakeholders through all our business activities. We will continue to respond sincerely to our members, striving to meet their trust and expectations, and providing even higher quality services
On the other hand, demands and actions from union members, other users, business partners, university personnel, and other persons involved in the cooperative's business activities that go beyond the bounds of common sense, including actions that deny the dignity of employees, violence, sexual harassment, and other acts that harm the dignity of employees, are serious problems that lead to a deterioration of the workplace environment
In order to respect the human rights of our employees, we will respond to these demands and actions with sincerity, but also with a firm stance, towards union members, other users, business partners, university personnel, and other parties involved in the cooperative's business activities
If we encounter such behavior from members, other users, business partners, university personnel, or anyone else involved in the cooperative's business activities, we will ask them to cease it. Employees are encouraged to report and consult with their supervisors, and we will respond systematically when such issues arise. Unfortunately, if problematic behavior continues, we may refuse to provide goods or services in accordance with the various terms and conditions, regulations, and other rules established by our cooperative. Furthermore, in the event of malicious behavior or criminal activity, we will consult with the appropriate authorities, such as the police, and take strict action
