Thank you for trying our "Sarasara Shrimp Toncha" during the Gakushoku Pass Appreciation Festival. This is an event-only menu item with a special discount, separate from the previously offered "Sarasara Toncha." Specifically, this event is based on the concept of offering a 500 yen item, a 100 yen discount on top of the 10% discount for members, when paid for with a Gakushoku Pass. Therefore, this item is available in one size only at all UTokyo Co-op locations (Central Cafeteria, Komaba Cafeteria, Second Cafeteria, and Faculty of Agriculture Cafeteria). We
also receive requests for larger portions of our one-size menu items, such as salmon bowls. Our regular donburi menu sizes vary in portion size to ensure the same ratio of rice to toppings. The price difference between small and medium sizes is 60 yen (excluding tax), and between medium and large sizes is 90 yen (excluding tax). In the case of salmon bowls, increasing the size while maintaining the same salmon-to-rice ratio would result in a price difference of more than 90 yen. Even for menu items like hamburger steak bowls, where it is difficult to increase the amount of toppings, it is currently difficult to offer large sizes.
As a consumer cooperative, we also encourage customers to eat a balanced diet, so we would like you to combine small dishes, soups, and salads from the salad bar with your meal, taking into consideration your budget.
