Q:

Recently, I've noticed that foreign tourists are using the store a lot, regardless of the day or time of day. While there's nothing wrong with using it, the following problems have arisen, and I'd like some kind of solution to be considered.
1. There are signs posted in English and Chinese stating that the store is closed to outsiders between 11:30 and 1:00 PM on weekdays, but I see foreign tourists using the store almost every day without a care. I'd like more effective measures to be taken against this.
2. Foreign tourists often take a long time to pay, which causes people behind them to have to wait, so I'd like to see cash registers set up specifically for Co-op Money. (Note that electronic money alone is not a solution, as it also includes credit cards and transportation IC cards.)

Thank you for your continued efforts in running the cafeteria. While the Central Cafeteria also plays a role as a tourist destination, we would appreciate it if you would take seriously any incidents that impair the convenience of students, faculty, and staff who use the cafeteria on a daily basis. Thank you in advance

A:

- Regarding comment 1, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. The Co-op is taking this situation seriously and is considering what measures we can take.
- Regarding comment 2, we operate up to two cash registers dedicated to Co-op Money during busy times. Due to a lack of staff, there are days when only one dedicated cash register is available, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We will increase the operation of cash registers dedicated to Co-op Money as much as possible.
