Procedures for joining the University of Tokyo Co-op and increasing capital

The University of Tokyo Consumers' Cooperative Association invites all students, graduate students, foreign students, and faculty members who study and work at the University of Tokyo to become "members" and lead a more convenient and fulfilling life. It is an organization to make it possible for you to We support study and life at the university through business activities at each store on each campus, such as cafeterias, purchasing, books, travel and learning support. Please feel free to join and use the co-op.
In addition, we ask for your cooperation in the "Capital Increase" in order to stabilize the management of the University of Tokyo Co-op and provide sufficient services.

*The invested funds will be returned when you leave the University of Tokyo, such as when you graduate, transfer, or retire.

*If you present your union membership card, you can enjoy the co-op cafeteria member price (20% off the general price).
　Books are available at a 10% discount on the main unit price.
　In addition, members-only events and sales are available.

Those who have an address in Tokyo or Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture

Please come to the co-op counter to join after enrollment.

First, we ask you to register to use the website (subscription only).
You can choose from bank transfer (Pay-easy), convenience store payment, credit card payment, and counter payment.
24,000 yen (60 units), please.

Information on how to register for the co-op app will be sent to your registered address within 1 to 3 business days after payment. Please configure the app after receiving the email.
*Even if you set up the app before the email arrives, an error will occur.
Please use your "temporary membership card" until the app settings are complete.
*Click on the "Application Details Confirmation" URL included in the payment confirmation email to register and present your "Temporary Membership Card."

Joining/capital increase at the window (cash)

*During the new semester period (March-April), we ask that you sign up online as it is very crowded.

for subscription

Please bring your investment and identification (student ID, staff ID) to the nearest window.
Please invest 24,000 yen (60 units).
Please fill out the application form.
We will give you a temporary membership card. After completing the membership registration, we will send you information about the application membership card.

In case of capital increase

Please bring your investment and membership card to the nearest window.
- If you have less than 24,000 yen (60 units), please cooperate in increasing the capital up to 24,000 yen. Please see the back of your membership card for your own investment amount.
- Please cooperate with the capital increase in units of 10 units (10 units 4,000 yen).
Please fill in the capital increase application form.
We will renew your membership card.
