For repairs on computers purchased in the new semester,
please bring the manufacturer's warranty (property insurance certificate) and bring it to the Komaba Purchasing Office or Hongo First Purchasing Office for inspection.
If the device is still powered on, we will be able to assist you more smoothly if you back up any necessary data before bringing it in.

Things to check before sending for repair

Warranty period/outside

The warranty period varies depending on the product, so please check.
When you receive the product, you will be given a sticker with a purchase stamp.

Warranty card

If you have a warranty, please bring it along with the hardware.
If you do not have a warranty, repairs may be charged even if the product is still within the warranty period.

*Please bring your support guarantee even for academic support

Bring-in repair or on-site repair

The warranty will usually state whether the product will be
brought in for repair or on-site repair. If the product is within the warranty period and supports on-site repair, you can contact the manufacturer for on-site repair or collection service.

*Some products can be repaired on-site even outside the warranty period

If you have items you would like to bring with you, please bring them to the store

Fault symptoms & backup check

We cannot guarantee the integrity of any PCs or data stored on the hard drives we receive.
If the data cannot be erased, we will not be able to accept the item for repair. Please back up any important data before sending it in for repair.

There may be cases where the computer will not start and data backup is not possible, but even in this case, we will not be able to accept the repair unless you agree to erase the data when you bring it in for repair.
If the data is important and cannot be erased, we recommend our data recovery service.

About accessories

If the device itself is broken, you can send it in for repair with just the warranty card and the device itself.
The packaging, manual, and power cord are not required.
If the device does not turn on, please also bring the AC adapter.

Repair service for electronic devices that cannot be repaired by the general public

Information

When a measuring instrument you've been using for a long time breaks down, it may be that the manufacturer's support period has expired and it is no longer possible to repair it.
Even if you purchase a new one, it is often the case that it is part of an entire system or that a replacement is not possible due to software issues.
This is a service you can use in such situations.
We will create new and repair broken circuit boards that are difficult to obtain.
While there are some devices that cannot be repaired, our repair success rate to date is 95%, so there is a high chance that they can be fixed.
