Thank you for using the University of Tokyo Co-op.
Regarding the article in the evening edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun on August 25th, we would like to apologize to all the union members who use the cafeteria every day. We sincerely apologize.
Regarding this matter, the University Co-op Business Federation (hereinafter referred to as Business Federation), to which the University of Tokyo Co-op entrusts the purchase of ingredients from manufacturers, has reported as attached ("Report on newspaper coverage")had. We will notify all members as soon as possible.
Even if there is no food safety problem for the business association, which is obligated to display the expiration date, to confirm and record the safety and then reset it, the University of Tokyo Co-op will not allow the union member who is the consumer to do so. We take seriously the fact that the information disclosure standards for all of you were not sufficiently clear, and strongly request that the business alliance strengthen and improve its future efforts so as not to lose the trust of users.
