Report on the University of Tokyo Co-op's business situation and requests
Thank you very much for your continued use of the University of Tokyo Co-op
As we face our biggest management crisis since our founding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are facing ongoing difficulties in providing services to our members. We have been forced to shorten our business hours, close our stores, and reduce the number of products and menus available in our stores and cafeterias, making it difficult to provide adequate services, and this situation is prolonged. We offer our sincere apologies to all our members
Last October 2020, we reported to all members on the financial situation of the University of Tokyo Co-op and asked them to increase their capital investment in the Co-op and to increase their use of its stores, including through school fees, so that the light of the Co-op will not be extinguished on campus. We would like to once again express our sincere gratitude for your understanding and cooperation during this time
Attached is a report on the University of Tokyo Co-op's business performance as of September 2021 and the efforts we have made so far. We ask all members to continue to use the Co-op as we approach the end of the fiscal year
