Regarding changes to delivery fees effective April 21, 2026

2026/04/09 University of Tokyo Co-op Bookstore

Thank you for your continued patronage of the University of Tokyo Co-op Bookstore. Due to the current logistics situation, we will be changing the delivery fees for books as follows. Thank you for your understanding

Effective date:
For public funds…Applicable to public expense vouchers issued on or after April 21, 2026 (Tuesday)
For private funds…Applicable to payments made on or after April 21, 2026 (Tuesday)

Applicable stores: Hongo Bookstore, Komaba Bookstore

1) On-campus delivery by Co-op employees
■ Fee:
No delivery fee will be charged as before.
■ Delivery method:
Employees from the assigned store will bring the goods to your designated room.
■ Delivery hours:
Please check with the assigned store.
■ Payment method:
Limited to items paid for using a public expense voucher.

2) Delivery by courier service
■ Fees (for delivery to one address):
□ If the total payment amount is 25,000 yen or more (including tax)
or if delivery is to the University of Tokyo campus or related facilities
→ Free (Delivery fee is covered by the University of Tokyo Co-op)
□ If the total payment amount is less than 25,000 yen

・The calculation method for the 25,000 yen is as follows:
For public funds... The total amount of public expense slips for items shipped together.
For private funds... The total amount of payments made on the same day (receipts can be combined).
・Delivery to the University of Tokyo campus and related facilities is free of charge regardless of the payment amount.

・For the same delivery destination, the number of packages does not affect the delivery fee.
・If there are two or more delivery destinations, 1,100 yen will be added for each delivery destination, regardless of the payment amount or delivery destination.

■Delivery Method:
A courier service will deliver your package to the address you specify.
*When delivering book cards, Japan Post's delivery method will be used.
■Delivery Hours:
Subject to the courier service's settings. Please check with the co-op store for details.
■Payment Methods:
Available for both personal and public funds.
*Personal funds: In-store payment, bank transfer, online credit card payment, cash on delivery.
