The University
of Tokyo Co-op's 80th Anniversary & the University of Tokyo Press's 75th Anniversary Event Vol. 1 will be held.
[2026 New Year's Dialogue] ~Let's talk about the future of academia and universities～
In 2026, the University of Tokyo Co-op will celebrate its 80th anniversary. Similarly, the University of Tokyo Press
will celebrate its 75th anniversary. As a commemorative event for this memorial year,
we will be hosting a dialogue between Yuji Genda, Chairman of the University of Tokyo Co-op, and Takahiro Nakajima, Chairman of the University of Tokyo Press.
In today's world, where division and conflict are rampant, where are academia and universities headed? These
intellectual masters, who are leading figures in the humanities and social sciences,
will introduce their top recommended books that offer clues to understanding the world and engage in a lively discussion.
