Hongo (Asano Yayoi) [Asano store] will be renovated to operate 24 hours a day
Starting April 1, 2025, the University of Tokyo Co-op Asano store will be renovated to become a 24-hour store exclusively for Co-op members (Co-op app users).
Please set up and install the University Co-op app
Payment can only be made via the "University Co-op App" outside of staffed hours. If you have not yet installed and set up the University Co-op App, please do so as soon as possible
The University Co-op app is only available to University of Tokyo Co-op members.
If you are a new member of the University of Tokyo Co-op or an existing member who has not yet installed the app, please check the following.
Business format after renovation
① Staff will be available only on weekdays from 11:30 to 13:30. During these hours, payments can be made using the "University Co-op App" as well as cash, credit card, Suica, QuickPay, etc.
② Outside of the above staffed hours, only self-checkout registers that allow payments via the "University Co-op App" will be operational 24 hours a day. No staff will be present in the store.
③ Regarding payments with school fees,
school fee payments can be made as usual during staffed hours. We are planning to install delivery lockers that can be used to receive deliveries even when the store is unmanned. Details on how to use them will be announced after the renewal.
Other renewal-related announcements
① Due to renovation work, the store will be closed during the following period.
3/27 (Thurs) 13:30 - 3/31 (Mon) 24-hour operation from 4/1 (Tue)
② For security reasons, the main entrance of the Faculty of Engineering Building 12 will be locked from 21:00 to 7:30 on weekdays and on weekends and holidays. During these locked hours, only those who are allowed to enter the building will be able to use the store.
