Fukushima Direct Sales Fair Event Report
From Monday, November 27th to Monday, December 2nd, the University of Tokyo Co-op cafeteria held the "Fukushima Direct from the Farm Fair 2023: Learn, Taste, and Think About the Blessings of Fukushima and Shinchi Town" (hereinafter referred to as the "Fukushima Direct from the Farm Fair")
This year, we focused on Shinchi Town in Soma District, Fukushima Prefecture, and offered a menu using ingredients produced in Shinchi Town.
We also received various forms of cooperation from professors at the University of Tokyo who are involved in the recovery of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and aquaculture in Fukushima. In particular, this year's fair placed great importance on providing information and ideas about food safety, given the release of ALPS-treated water into the ocean.

This event was held with the hope that participants would first taste Fukushima's ingredients, and then consider the production areas and producers behind those ingredients, as well as the current situation in Fukushima. We
also received comments from professors about the current state of Fukushima. We
hope that this Fukushima Direct Sales Fair will serve as an opportunity for everyone to think about the current situation in Fukushima.
