From November 27th to December 2nd, the University of Tokyo Co-op cafeteria will hold “Fukushima Farm Direct Fair 2023: Know, Taste, and Think about the Blessings of Fukushima and Shinchi Town” (hereinafter referred to as the “Fukushima Farm Direct Fair”). I did.

This year, we focused on Shinchi Town, Soma District, Fukushima Prefecture, and provided menus using ingredients produced in Shinchi Town.
We would also like to thank professors at the University of Tokyo who are involved in the reconstruction of Fukushima's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industry for their cooperation. In particular, this year's fair was concerned with the release of ALPS treated water into the ocean, so we placed great importance on thinking about and providing information on food safety.

This event was held with the hope that it would give people a taste of Fukushima's ingredients, and give them an opportunity to think about the production areas and producers behind the ingredients, as well as the current state of Fukushima.
 We also received comments from teachers about the current situation in Fukushima.
 We hope that this Fukushima Farm Direct Fair will give you an opportunity to think about the current situation in Fukushima.
