Thank you for using the University Co-op's "Language Dictionary Content." The current service for the "Language Dictionary Content" you are using will end at the end of September 2022, and will be provided as a new service format, "DICTOOL," which will be a web browser-based service. We sincerely apologize for this major change in service since your purchase. We would like to inform you of the transition period and future transition procedures below.

1) Reborn as the browser viewer "DICTOOL"
The DECS language dictionary content you are using will be transferred to the new viewer "DICTOOL"
"DICTOOL" will be available from July 1, 2022.
Information will also be sent to the email address registered as your membership ID on the "VarsityWave eBooks Site."
*Please rest assured that the content available to you will not be changed in any way

2) Changes to the use of DICTOOL
① "DICTOOL" is a browser-based viewer
All you need is a network connection and you can start using it right away. The recommended browsers are Edge, Chrome, and Safari. There is no need to download content, so you don't have to worry about using up your device's storage space
②The will be six years from the time of transition.
Due to the nature of the web-based system, "DICTOOL" a six-year usage period from the time of migration . A two-month trial will be available from July 1, 2022, and the service will be available for six years from September 1, 2022 (until August 31, 2028).
③ Your ID/PASS will be transferred as is
membership ID (email address) and password for the VarsityWave eBooks site , but you will need to log in again using the new viewer.
④ The current service will end at the end of September 2022
Please note that the current "VW-eBooks DECS app" service will end at the end of September 2022 and will no longer be available

Regarding the transfer of book content other than dictionaries

*We are currently preparing to make content other than dictionaries (textbooks and other book content) from September 2022, and will provide further information when the transition is complete. The new dictionary viewer "DICTOOL" and the new book viewer "EDXUniText" will be integrated into one system from September 2022, and both will be accessible from the same URL.
* The expiration date for book content other than dictionary content and medical dictionaries will not change even after the transition to the new viewer. However, if you originally purchased the rental version, please note that the expiration date will be the same as the period set at the time of original purchase.
3) Information on how to use "DICTOOL"
The full transition will take place in September 2022, but as of July 2022, the transition period is still ongoing and you can already use the new service "DICTOOL." Please see below for details on the transition procedure and how to log in
⚫You can continue to use your current user ID and password.
⚫Word lists and other data saved in the current viewer (app) cannot be transferred.
⚫The usage period for some purchased products may change.
⚫The transfer of existing content is scheduled to be completed by autumn 2022, and the current service will continue to operate in parallel for a while until it is discontinued.

Q. By when should I switch from the "VW-eBooks DECS app" I'm currently using to "DICTOOL"?
A. The new viewer, "DICTOOL," will be available from June 1, 2022. The current app, "VW-eBooks DECS app," will end its service at the end of September 2022, so please migrate before then. After migrating, you can uninstall the app
Q. How many devices can run the new viewer " DICTOOL
A. Only one device per ID can be running "DICTOOL" at the same time. If you log in to two or more devices with the same membership ID, the device that was logged in first will be forcibly logged out
Q. I own book content other than dictionaries. Will there be any changes to the expiration date?
A. The expiration date for book content other than dictionary content and medical dictionaries will remain the same even after the transition to the new viewer. However, if you originally purchased the rental version, please note that the expiration date will be the same as the original purchase date
