Request for donations for disaster relief in the Ofunato City forest fire
in Iwate Prefecture
On February 26, 2025, a large-scale forest fire broke out in Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture, destroying a large area of the city.
We would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected.
Currently, the University of Tokyo Co-op is conducting a fundraising campaign to support those affected by the disaster. The collected donations will be handed over to Ofunato City as "relief funds" through the Iwate Prefectural Consumers' Co-op. Depending on the extent of the damage, a portion of the donations may be used by Ofunato City as "support funds." Please leave the decision to the Iwate Prefectural Consumers' Co-op
