Komaba and Komaba II
Komaba Nishi Shop, an unmanned store open 24 hours a day, opens on September 30th!

Greetings from Dean Fumitaka Mafune
ribbon cutting ceremony
Opening Ceremony (September 30th)
The Komaba West Shop opened on the first floor of Buildings 15 and 16 on the Komaba Campus with a congratulatory address from Dean Fumitaka Mafune of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Vice President Tsukiashi Tatsuhiko of the University of Tokyo Co-op and Dean Mafune
The West Shop is the University of Tokyo Co-op's first unmanned store that is open 24 hours a day, and has just opened for business as an operational experiment
The Komaba West Shop was opened as a replacement facility after the closure of the bakery became unavoidable due to earthquake-resistance renovation work on Building 1. Until now, there were no welfare facilities on the west side of campus, and there was a particular need for a facility that could provide food in the evenings and at night in an area where natural science laboratories are concentrated. Since it would be difficult to operate a staffed store, we will be attempting to operate an unmanned store
Payment at the Komaba Nishi Shop can only be made using Co-op electronic money. We hope that the store will grow into one that can be used 24 hours a day, not just one that can only use Co-op money
