Regarding the retention of member prices at
We would like to thank all our members for your continued understanding and cooperation in the University of Tokyo Co-op's activities
Due to the recent labor shortage in society as a whole, the cafeteria department of the University of Tokyo Co-op is also facing a serious shortage of part-time staff. It is particularly difficult to secure staff for the Central Cafeteria on the Hongo Campus and the first and second floors of the Komaba Cafeteria. As a result, we have been forced to limit our opening hours to times when we can secure a stable staffing
After much discussion at the board meeting, it was decidedthe aim of securing funds for improving hourly wages to attract and retain part-time staff. General prices will increase by approximately 12-15%, depending on the item.
Furthermore, as an important announcement, given that rising prices and other factors are making life increasingly difficult for our members, we havedecided to increase the discount rate on member prices from the general price and will keep these prices unchanged from July 16th onwards. Please rest assured and continue to use our services.
Students, faculty, and staff (and employees) of the University of Tokyo can use the cafeteria at member prices by joining the Co-op. If you are not a member of the Co-op, please check the details below and consider joining
New students and those planning to enroll at the University of Tokyo (Co-op members)
