Komaba Original Bowl 2024 Grand Prize Winner Decided!
In May 2024, we solicited original recipes from the Komaba Purchasing Department, Komaba Cafeteria, and on social media, and received 19 submissions! Thank you to everyone who applied!
Tasting session
At the original bento tasting event held on June 5th, five menus were introduced that had been discussed and selected by the purchasing department and cafeteria department. Based on the submitted ideas, written text, illustrations, and photos, actual bento-style dishes that could be produced in the cafeteria were unveiled for the first time!

Muscular bowl
This muscle-friendly dish is made with low-calorie, high-protein chicken breast meat, topped with broccoli and a boiled egg
Komajiro bowl
A bowl of rice inspired by a certain ramen, topped with plenty of garlic dumplings, cabbage, and pork slices
Komaba Campus Bowl
A bowl of rice inspired by the trees of Komaba Campus: sweet and spicy stir-fried pork (Building 1), egg (ginkgo), and spinach dressed with sesame seeds

A colorful bowl of rice topped with corn, mayonnaise, and basil, or komaba for short
Croquette Mapo Yakisoba Rice Bowl
This is also a bowl of rice that is very filling and impressive, made with croquettes, mabo, and yakisoba
After hearing from the creators of the five finalist dishes about the thoughts they put into the bowls and from the cafeteria staff who created the recipes about their particular preferences, the tasting session began
The grand prize goes to "Muscular Muscle Bowl"!
After the tasting time, voting took place, and in a fierce battle where no one could have predicted the outcome, the "Mikimuki Muscle Bowl" created by PN: Kakapo was selected as the Grand Prix Original Bento for 2024!

The chicken was very well seasoned, and the flavor of the sesame oil spread throughout my mouth. It's very healthy, so I recommend it for people who don't do muscle training and for women
It's good, I'll buy it if it's available
