Report and thanks for the donations for the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake" disaster relief
efforts
To support those affected by the massive earthquake that occurred off the coast of the Noto Peninsula on January 1, 2024, the University of Tokyo Co-op began collecting donations in January 2024 by placing donation boxes in its stores.
As a result, a total of 92,285 yen was raised across all University of Tokyo Co-op stores. Donations received from customers will be sent to the Japanese Consumers' Co-operative Union's "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund," which will then be used to provide relief funds (directly distributed to those affected) and support funds (for expenses related to support activities in the affected areas) to municipalities that suffered the greatest damage and organizations providing support for the victims.
Thank you for your cooperation in this emergency donation.
