Report on the Fukushima Farm
Fair
From Monday, November 27th to Monday, December 2nd, the University of Tokyo Co-op cafeteria held the "Fukushima Direct from the Farm Fair 2023: Learn, Taste, and Think About the Blessings of Fukushima and Shinchi Town" (hereinafter referred to as the "Fukushima Direct from the Farm Fair")
This year's event focused on Shinchi Town, Soma County, Fukushima Prefecture, and offered a menu using ingredients produced in Shinchi Town. We
also received various forms of cooperation from professors at the University of Tokyo who are involved in the revival of Fukushima's agriculture, forestry, fisheries and fishing industries. In particular, this year's fair was related to the release of ALPS-treated water into the ocean, so we placed importance on providing information and ideas about food safety.

This event was held with the hope that it would give people an opportunity to taste Fukushima ingredients, and to think about the production areas and producers behind the ingredients, as well as the current state of Fukushima. We
also received comments from the teachers about the current situation in Fukushima. We
hope that this Fukushima Direct from the Farm Fair will be an opportunity for everyone to think about the current situation in Fukushima.
Thank you very much for using our service this time
